Palladio Lip Stain

Hi everyone, hope you have all had a good weekend and enjoying your Sunday! I am trying to get more posts in, as I had mentioned before. I recently wanted to buy a lip pen in a lighter shade, as I have already got a Max Factor one (who were first on the scene with these 'lip pens') in a Berry shade. So I saw some by Rimmel & 17  recently at only a fiver also containing a balm on the end, but I ended up not purchasing  one that day and I am happy I didn't as Beauty Naturals kindly sent me 4 beauty products to review, 1 being this lip stain!!

The shade I have is Lis01 Pinky, a real pink flamingo colour (exactly what I wanted!) It looks so natural on my lips, without being to dark or 'out-there' which I didn't want with a lighter shade. I am not aware that there is more shades though. There is a fragrance to it, fruity, but not noticeable when applied and doesn't linger, unfortunatly. (I like fruity lips!!)

The packaging is identical to the shade inside. With an easy pull off/on lid. As this is from the Beauty Naturals website it does contain 'natural ingrediants' - enriched with moisturising panthenol. I am a fan of 'lip pens/markers' there so easy to use, they're like a lip pencil but with a thicker applying tip, amazing! You can use to outline lips or fill in completely, I used both and it really made my lips a natural, sheer tint.

'Extra long-wearing lip marker' As I recieved this more than a week ago, I tested it out often to see if it really lived up to it's expectation and I can say it does 90%. I applied it in the morning and when I got home (more than 5 hours) it was still there, much had gone but still a tint to be noticed. 'hydrating and a waterproof formula...doesn't dry out your lips' I agree, it doesn't dry out my lips and is very waterproof - especially when drinking water all day!

Overall I really like this product, I will defintely continue to use this daily (hoping it doesn't run out!!) Lip Pens are a must have for me, makes applications so much easier. It's also a handy, smaller size and fits right in my hands and smaller make-up bags! I have to say though, I do think the price tag is more than what I would pay for a  lip pen of this size, but as it is a 'natural' beauty product I can't complain.

RRP: £7/3ml

What do you think of this product? Do you like lip pens/markers, do you use them often? Let me know your thought!

Barry M Glitter Nail Paints

Barry M recently released many new make-up products (which I am very excited about!!) so I am going to review their previous glitter nail paints, they only have 3 coloured ones at the moment, but that might change in the future, hopefully. I haven't seen many blog posts about these, but my love for them is unreal, they are fab! In Red, Blue and Green, you're nails will sure sparkle for the festive season, but hey, you can have some sparkle on your nails all year round!

First up the packaging is like all the other nail paints by Barry M, a cuboid shaped glass jar with a matte black lid - simple yet stylish and definitely recognisable to many 'Barry M fans' and other people! And 'nail paint by Barry M' written on the front which I personally love as it makes it look expensive.

The names of the nail paints are written on the bottom, the names aren't anything special, quite boring in fact, 'Red Glitter' 'Blue Glitter' 'Green Glitter' wow, they really searched hard for names, haha. Just a thought (and by many others too) that for Red Glitter they could have used the name 'Dorothy Shoes' as the resemblance is amazing. It really does look like yours nails are Dorothy's shoes (anyone who doesn't know, think Wizard Of Oz...) Also the Green Glitter really reminds me of Christmas, a name like 'Christmas Tree' or 'Blue Tinsel' springs to mind, haha I don't know.

So moving on to the wear and how to use... 2 swatched photos above, the top being applied with 1 coat which as you can see isn't opaque enough, and the bottom photo being 2 coats which is slightly opaque and does look much better. I, however use these glitter paints over matching nail paints, I normally use Red Glitter over red nail paint which makes it stand out loads and the without chipping for a while, same goes when applying Blue & Green Glitter over their matching colours. The formula contains an array of coloured glitter surrounded in translucent nail polish.

Blue and Red Glitter can be found in Boots/Superdrug but Green Glitter is a struggle to find so I had to purchase it online at BarryM.com.

RRP: £2.99 each - which is an amazing price tag!

Do you have these Barry M glitter nail paints? What are your thoughts on them, please let me know! Also leave me a link below if you have blogged about these!

Martha Hill Cleansing Gel

I recieved this Cleansing Gel the other week by the 'Martha Hill' range from the Beauty Naturals website,   which sells beauty products produced from natural ingrediants. I don't have many cleansing gels and most are from supermarkets or Boots, not being anything special. So I was happy to test this product out for a week to see the difference in quality...

"Original herbal skincare by Martha Hill. Company established, England 1942."

"Camomile has long been recognised as a valuable aid to beauty and the herb was widely used in skin, hair and bath preparations. Camomile is a gentle herb and has a calming, soothing effect on damaged or sensitive skin."

The transparent gel exudes a scent of cucumber, camomile & aloe vera which isn't overpowering. The gel is contained in a glossy white tube with minimalistic text, getting straight to the point. The fresh facial cleansing gel was gentle when massaged into the skin and when mixed with water it doesn't bubble.

It's also free from many things - Parabens, Mineral Oil & Artificial Colour. And is suitable for all skin types but recommended for combination skin and prone to acne, which is perfect for me and my skin.

Overall it deffintetly leaves my sensitive skin clean and fresh by not adding to much harsh ingrediants and gives me a 'wake up' effect of which it's enriched with natural moisturisers. I use it every morning and its great. I am very happy with this product.

RRP: £6.50/100ml - marthahill.com

Do you use many cleansing gels and can not find the right one? Have you used this one before? What are your thoughts, let me know!

Dirty Works Tweezers

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting lately, at the moment I have started a new job and have been very busy. But I assure you I'll be posting more frequently! Today I'm going to review some tweezers - a beauty must have for every girl!

Firstly who has heard of Dirty Works? I hadn't until recently, it's a beauty brand that can be bought from Sainsbury's - make-up, skincare and accessories! I received these pointed tweezers to review from the company themselves.

This beauty accessory is very feminine and retro, sporting a 'barbie' pink that is contrasted with an array of pink spots and the bold brand name 'Dirty Works' . The product is packaged in a clear PVC case, which I find boring and obviously is based on lowering production costs. I also noticed the shape is unusual, not like many tweezers that are just straight, this has a circle at the bottom that is much easier to hold, I like that they chose this shape and went different.

I haven't got pointed tweezers so I was quite intrigued to see them in action, as I am used to using normal slanted ones. Well, these got 'straight to the point' haha, no seriously they really pulled out the tiniest of hairs and were easy to grip and are fairly a good size. (These paired with my new magnifying mirror from Dirty Works, no hair is safe! Haha)

Tweezer Tip... Tweeze brows after a shower as the warmth helps to soften hairs for easier tweezing!

Overall these are a must have accessory, ultra sharp and stainless steel tips that grab the finest of hairs. Not plain silver like other generic tweezers, they stand out whilst making you pretty at the same time. Love them!

RRP: £2.99

Have you tried these before? What do you think of pointed tweezers? Tell me your thoughts on this!

Models Own/Hed Kandi - Ibiza Mix

Hi everyone. I bought this nail polish a couple of weeks ago as it was part of the new collection from 'Models Own' and 'Hed Kandi'. I must say this was my FIRST 'Models Own' nail polish and oh how amazing it was...

The nail polish is called Ibiza Mix. A polish that has a transparent base coat withholding an array of small & big specks of blue, pink and gold glitter. I used 1 coat over the coloured nails on the nail wheel, 2 coats on my hand and the other nail wheel photo from left to right, 1 coat, 2 coat and so on to 5 coats. I love glitter polishes because i can create a 'galaxy' effect nail coat where i apply a Dark base coat (preferebly black or dark blue) and then apply the glitter polish over the top to simulate the effect. It did take more time than a usual polish to dry.

I find the packaging really appealing, the transparent jar displays the attractive polish very well especially when expsoed to good light and the white lid decorated with the brands repetive typography looks very trendy. I would probably use 1 or 2 coats next time I use this and it's best used with a coloured base coat.

I have never purchased a Models Own polish before, but for £5 you can't go wrong. I know for sure I'll be buying more polishes from the Models Own range, I have my eye on another glittery one named Disco Mix - purple & blue glitter!

RRP: £5

Do you have this polish, what are your thoughts on it? Or have you experimented with this polish before? Let me know your conclusions on the product.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter - Sweet Tart

There was an abundance of hype surrounding the 'little lip butters by Revlon' and when they finally arrived in the UK, I was infected with manic-buying syndrome. In 14 shades (6 less than the US/Canada *cries*) perfect for Spring! and so I committed the product to a full week interrogation...

The alluring trendy case has a pink transparent peekaboo lid surrounded by a quilt effect (that reminds me of a Chanel bag) and possesses a generic twisting mechanism to expose the lipstick. I admire the packaging for mirroring the shade of the lipstick which enables me to identify the lipstick when rummaging through my bag.

The Lip Butter shade is called 'Sweet Tart' (one of many including 'Tutti Frutti, Berry Smoothie, Raspberry Pie, Macaroon) which are all desserts... damn now I'm hungry!  'Sweet Tart' is a mercurial pink bubblegum shade and has a generic lipstick scent which degrades from the potential of the product, I wish it was accompanied with a fruity scent like strawberry. *licks lips*

Overall the lipstick/lipbalm is very pigmented and glides on well without having to put too much on, although dissapointingly the product had a low longevity which meant I had to re-apply every 2 hours and  with only 2cm of lipstick, this means the product won't last long.

RRP: £7.99

Have you tried any Revlon's 'famous' Lip Butters, do you have a favourite? What are your thoughts on this, let me know?

Pink Grapefruit Body Butter

I have been analysing The Body Shop's 'Pink Grapefruit Body Butter' (I have a obsession with pink grapefruit) and it's pretty obvious what scent the white/pink butter gives off, if not I'd be quite worried, haha! To its credibility the smell is very strong and alluring and has great longevity throughout the day.

The 'fruity' range of Body shop butters come in an array of brightly coloured plastic tubs which have clear/minimalistic text and photos displaying the scents associated fruit on a sticker. Currently I have a 200ml tub but a travel sized 50ml tub can also be purchased (Which is great if you go camping by the beach with friends or to a festival for on the go moisturiser).

This product is a must have for me, with its fresh grapefruit scent, buttery texture and natural grapefruit seed oil that is quickly absorbed leaving the skin hydrated and soft. I preferably use it after waxing/shaving legs which leaves them sooo smooth and remember not to use it on a rash or broken skin as it could irritate it.

General consensus at The Body Shop website rate this Body Butter 4.8 out of 5 and 99% of people would recommend it to a friend - people must lovvvvve Pink Grapefruit as much as me!! Let's not forget that the product is produced from community fair trade Shea & cocoa butter.

RRP: £5 for the 50ml and £12 for 200ml

Have you tried any TBS Body Butters, which is your favourite scent? What are your thoughts on this, let me know!

I am... Runway Red-y

I came across this bold red Sally Hansen nail polish when prowling about and saw a price tag of only £1, so I had to own one.

The colour is called 'Runway Red-y' and is part of the Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Spring 2011 collection. Some of these shades have been spotted at the runway last year. If you're looking for a red that gives off that classic women vibe then this will appeal to you. Often described as an apple red, not those mouldy apples you get in supermarkets, I'm talking about 'snow white' apples.

I applied two coats which dried quickly with a non-streaky/opaque look and a topcoat wasn't needed as it was so shiny. These nail polishes are also an all-in-one formula that combines all the 5 steps of a professional salon manicure – a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, rich colour and top coat in a single multi-tasking polish.

These nail polishes are limited edition and costing £7 RRP for 14.7ml but you can find them still around on Ebay for under £5.

Do you own this nail polish? What are your thoughts on it, let me know!

Nail Polish Tag

So I have seen a lot of this on peoples blogs, one being Emma's blog so I thought I'd give it a go...

1. What is your favourite nail polish company?
Ooh I have a few but my favourate has to be Barry M as the nail polishes are non streaky and dry fast with a variety of colours (definitely recommended), however Models Own are pretty good too, as is Nails Inc.

2. Glitter or no glitter?
Lovvvve glitter, especially over painted bright nails. I do hate it when it's time to remove it though, as it just doesn't want to budge.

3. OPI, China Glaze or Essie?
Never tried any of these nail polish brands, but have seen a few cheap on Ebay, so I may buy some soon to review them with my thoughts, I may end up loving them!

4. When do you change your nail polish?
I used to do it every week on the weekend but probably do it everu 3-4 days or if I want something new, or for reviews/swatches on my blog.

5. What’s your favourite colour on your nails?
It depends what mood I am in or if I am wearing something that goes with a certain colour or if it's spring then i'll wear all my 'spring shades' etc for all seasons.

6. Darks or brights?
I would say brights, when I use darks it's a pain to remove but I do like plum nails in Winter.

7. What are you wearing on your nails right at this moment?
I was wearing Models Own - Ibiza Mix but took it off this morning for a new colour I am going to apply tonight.

8. Matte nails, in or out?
I have a matte nail polish, but never really used it only to swatch and when the hype about matte nails was about I never really went along with it, but I do like matte nails!

9. French Manicure?
Never had a french manicure so couldn't say.

10. Favourite Summer colours?
Brights all the wayyyy! Barry M - Cyan Blue. Nails Inc - OMP  / Atomic. Revlon - Craving Coral. Rimmel - Sunshine / Green Grass

I tag everyone! Let me know if you’ve done this tag and link me up!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - 250 Glamourous Pink

I picked this gorgeous Rimmel lipstick in my local Poundland last summer, it was such a bargain I couldn't pass it up. Here is a review of it...

The colour is named 'Glamourous Pink' which validates the feeling of  'old glamour' that's associated with Hollywood which oozes from the lipstick. The lipstick is highly pigmented and has a strong/bold colour which compliments olive skin tones. (They do have more shades in the range though, more than 10)

This product comes equipped with three superpower moisturisers – polypeptides, hyaluronic acid and natural collagen that deeply hydrate lips. Caring colour complex of vitamin A, C & E, anti-oxidants and SPF 20 to protect lips from everyday damage.

Purple is a colour that has been associated with the royal and wealthy throughout history and the use of this colour with the metallic cuboid packaging gives you a sense of classic glamour that matches the feel of the lipstick shade.

Overall a great lipstick that compliments olive skin tones and has a formula that cares for your lips with a wide range of shades to choose from.

RRP: £6.29

Have you tried this lipstick before? What are your thoughts on this, let me know!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR - Eternal Gold

Happy Easter everyone!! Hope you're all having a great day and eating lots of chocolate! Yesterday I bought the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR in shade Gold Eternal... (Known in America as Bold Gold).

A glass transparent jar that shows the company's confidence in the product which is accompanied by a black lid that contrasts the Eternal Gold product and creates a look of wealth and excellence.

Well as its name displays, it is a brilliant metallic gold. (other purchasable colours are teal, bright purple and some other neutral colours) My primary motivation to purchase gold was to create emphasis in the corners of my eyes and to use on my brow bones for highlight and on the middle of my lips (like the hot salsa max factor flip stick - pink & gold duo - pink lips then adding gold to the centre) so that's basically getting 3 uses out of 1 thing. The pigmentation of these is outstanding!

Once applied, it dries completely within a few seconds and doesn't smudge hence 'tattoo' in the products title and also states it has a longevity of 24hrs which is an exaggeration. It can be worn as an eyeshadow, eye primer or an eyeliner which means it is great value for money.

(It can be messy, I was applying it with my brush I got it all around my eyes, maybe its me lol, but have a wipe just in case, to wipe around your eyes)

RRP:  £4.99

Have you tried Maybelline's NEW Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow? What are your thoughts on this, let me know!

MUA Eyeshadow - Shade 6

I have another MUA product to review - a gorgeous shimmering turquoise eyeshadow...

The colour is Shade 6 Pearl, which definitely has this aqua feel and would be great for the summer.  I personally love this colour, I have many blue and green eyeshadows, but this is an eyeshadow for the indecisive who want something in between.

A generic MUA product package with a glossy black base with a transparent lens lid which coincides with the eye theme related to the product.

Best applied as a base or add with a darker green eyeshadow for a smoky eye look, this is a good eyeshadow for the quality and price and looks great on blue eyes. Lasts all day when worn with eye primer underneath.
RRP: £1

What do think of the MUA's single eye shadows, what are your thoughts on this, let me know?
